NDI-National Dance Institute

The National Dance Institute of New Mexico is a non-profit organization that brings high quality dance education into the schools throughout New Mexico. NDI is founded with the knowledge that the arts have a unique power to engage and motivate children. OOCS students in grades 3rd and 4th participate in the NDI program every week from September through May. Students will participate in a school assembly with audience performances in December or January and in the End-of-the-Year Event in May.

Moving Arts-Espanola

Moving Arts Española provides high quality performing and visual arts education for children and youth ages 3-18. MAE programs promote the creative, physical, academic, social and emotional well-being of children and youth from Ohkay Owingeh and the surrounding communities of Northern New Mexico. OOCS students in Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades participate in performing and visual arts for 2 hours a week for 24 weeks during the school year.

OOCS Basketball

Ohkay Owingeh Community School strives to provide extracurricular activities for students. Students in grades 2nd through 6th can participate in basketball. Games are scheduled with surrounding school teams, other native community schools and local organizations.

Ohkay Owingeh Boys and Girls Club
