In observance of All Soul's Day on November 2, 2020
In our classroom, we live our best life ! We make mistakes so we can learn. We learn so we can succeed. We succeed so we can help others. We do second chances. We never give up. We encourage one another. We laugh often. We belong.
I am very excited to have your child as one of my fabulous fourth grade students this school year! I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with you and your child. This year will be packed full of learning experiences and fun adventures that no one will want to miss out on! Please be aware of the weekly newsletters sent home to give updates on student work and school events, classroom volunteer opportunities and other important announcements. I believe that teacher-parent communication is extremely important and I encourage you to contact me with any and all questions or concerns. I will be available by e-mail or school phone, or please feel free to send a note back in your child’s agenda. You can also look for this information on our Fourth Grade web page. I will update it weekly! http://oocs.org/fourth-grade/ In order to promote academic success and a good classroom-learning environment, this year all students will be expected to abide by a few main classroom rules. I would like for you to be familiar with our classroom rules as well as the school rules and policies. Our main classroom rules are 1) Show everyone respect 2) Always be prepared 3) Have a positive attitude and do your best! Our remaining two or three rules will be decided upon as a class so that the student’s take pride and ownership in them. Be looking for the updated list on our website! Other school rules and policies can be found on the website, or in the school handbook. I have very high expectations for the academic school year, and I am devoted to helping your child succeed! I believe that all students are unique and capable of learning when we all work together. It takes a team effort and that includes me, you, and our student. In addition to weekly newsletters, I will also send home graded student work that should be signed and returned the next day. I want you to always be aware of your child’s progress, so there are no surprises. I strongly encourage all parents/guardians to get involved this year! There are a variety of opportunities to help and I hope that you will take advantage of them. There is a place for everyone! I look forward to building our classroom community and want to include you in your child’s classroom experience. Once again, I am thrilled to be working with your child this year and I cannot wait to see all of the amazing achievements this year brings!
